Guinea Pig Hay
Fluffy, fresh & full of fibre!
Hay is the Way
Hay is the most important part of a guinea pig’s diet and should be available to them at all times. It provides the essential fiber they need for healthy digestion and helps keep their constantly growing teeth worn down naturally.
Guinea pigs rely on hay not just for nutrition, but also for enrichment—nibbling, burrowing, and foraging through it is part of their natural behavior. High-quality hay should be fresh, green, and fragrant, with popular choices including timothy, orchard grass, and meadow hay. Without unlimited hay, guinea pigs can quickly develop serious digestive or dental problems, making it absolutely essential for their daily health and happiness.
