Little Cheeky Pets

Hamsters make great little pets. They are small curious little creatures and can be entertaining to watch, as they run about and explore.

These little fur balls like to live alone, away from other hamsters. Provide them with lots of deep bedding and lots of enrichment and they will be quite happy.

Hamsters tend to sleep during the day and are active at night.

These little cuties love to chew and gnaw on things. It’s a natural behaviour that stops their teeth from getting overgrown and prevents them from getting bored.

Frequently asked questions

Treats should make up no more than 5% of their diet. For most hamsters, this means offering treats 2–4 times per week in tiny portions.

Vegetables are generally better for your little pet, as fruits are higher in sugar. However fruits can be given as occasional special treats in tiny servings.

Everyone loves a special treat!

Hamsters teeth never stop growing throughout their entire lives. Because of this, they must chew and gnaw regularly to keep them worn down to a safe length.

Providing treats like apple wood sticks to chew on, and enrichment toys such as cardboard tubes and wooden chew toys, will keep your little friend happy and healthy.

Hamsters require gentle handling and may bite if they feel threatened.
